We have designed a child friendly wild tour which meets Conservation Guardians principles and children’s needs, without forgetting the parent’s wishes. The tour has been designed to engage families with different ecosystems. The tour starts with two days in Hluhluwe iMfolozi Game Reserve, the oldest proclaimed reserve in Africa, established in 1895 and situated 270 km from Durban. The reserves are rich in wildlife including black and white rhino, lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard, spotted hyena and a variety of antelope. There is also a wide and interesting variety of birds to be seen.
Manyoni Conservancy, is considered to be one of the most densely stocked and ecologically balanced private protected areas in northern KwaZulu-Natal and will offer an incredible experience with elephants that both children and adults will love. The tour will then proceed into the iSimangaliso Wetland Park a World Heritage site, which becomes home for the next few days. Imagine living freely in a world heritage site, where you can walk on the beach, go on game drives whenever you wish and snorkel and explore as you in your own time.
This tour has been designed to balance experiences that can become boring by being in a vehicle for long periods, within environments that allow children to explore. The experience will create a sense of collaboration and sharing and will make you part of the conservation project.
